The Band

The Fugitive Poets began in 2001 with a jam session among friends. There was an unmistakable chemistry in the group, and it was obvious that this was something that couldn’t be allowed to linger away! There was a collective wish to perform the many original tunes that the individual songwriters had been creating.

Adrian Percy and Alan Morton met, years ago, while performing the score of a theatrical production. They, along with former members Don Hood and Joel Walker, were the start of today’s band.

Doc Chaney, The Fugitive Poets’ fiddler, soon joined the band, and was followed by Heather Feierabend in 2011. 2012 saw the addition of Kat Carlson as the band’s new bassist.

The Fugitive Poets have released three albums, so far, including 2004′s Alias, 2006′s Rendezvous, and their latest, Flight Risk, from 2011.

With better than ten years under their collective belt, The Fugitive Poets are still writing songs, still playing together, still pleasing fans and – most importantly – still having a good time doing what they do!
